Jacqueline Lare Obituary

Jacqueline "Jackie" Jones Lare, 90, of Allentown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 23rd, 2025. Born in Norristown, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Rachel (Morris) Jones. She was the beloved wife of the late Carl Lare. Jacqueline worked as a nursery school teacher and then as a secretary at Keystone Findings. Jackie was a member of St John's United Church of Christ in Emmaus, PA. She loved to paint with oils and work with ceramics. While living at Phoebe, she enjoyed volunteering in their library. Jacqueline is survived by her daughters, Tracy James, wife of William James of Perkasie, and Dr. Kristine Lare-Knappenberger, wife of Rev. Dr. Paul Knappenberger of Macungie; her grandchildren: Rachel Knappenberger, and Bill and Brian James; her great grandchildren: Liam, Christian, and Claire; and her sister, Donna Hall of Quakertown. Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Nancy Brown. She will be laid to rest privately in Wentz's United Church of Christ Cemetery in Lansdale. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested in her memory to: St. John's United Church of Christ in Emmaus, PA. 139 N 4th St. Emmaus, PA 18049.
