James Groover Obituary

"Remember me with smiles and laughter for that is how I will remember you all." James J Groover, 61, of Palmer Township passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 9, 2025. He was the son of Donna (Stites) and Fred Duckworth and the late James J Groover Sr. He graduated from Wilson High School. He was employed by Riegel Paper Mill for many years and most recently by Fed Ex. He was a member of the Easton and Blue Valley Quoit Leagues. On Sundays, you could find him cheering on his lifelong team, The Kansas City Chiefs. He also loved the Cincinnati Reds and the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He never outgrew his love for WWE Wrestling. He loved all genres of music with his favorite being The Rolling Stones. James will be lovingly missed by his sister, Jennifer Zingales and her husband Joe and his nephews, Nicholas and Matthew Zingales; his step sister, Debbie Hooper and her husband Dan and their children; uncle, Charlie Groover and his wife Chris; aunt, Kay Moore; and his former wife and good friend, Gina Groover. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) The family requests those who attend to wear red, yellow or white to support the team he loved, the Kansas City Chiefs.
