Jane Meyers Obituary
Jane L. (Gordon) Meyers, 94, of Souderton, PA; formerly of Bedminster, PA went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Souderton Mennonite Homes. Jane was the loving wife of the late Justus W. Meyers for 48 years. She was born in Coopersburg, PA to the late Arthur T. Gordon and the late Elizabeth (Crawford) Gordon. Jane graduated from Springfield High School, class of 1949. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Jane was a member of Deep Run Mennonite Church West where she served as a deaconess, sang in the church choir, taught VBS, taught women's Sunday school and Bible study class, and taught children's Sunday school class. She formerly volunteered with Meals on Wheels in Doylestown. Jane loved spending time with her grandchildren, baking, cooking, gardening, playing the piano and organ, doing needlework, sewing, making her daughters' dresses, cleaning, and playing board and card games. She also took a memorable trip to Scotland with her family. Jane was a devoted woman who had a servant's heart and loved the Lord. She is survived by her three daughters, Jane M. McHale & husband, James of Catawissa, PA, Nancy E. Hunsberger & husband, David of Quakertown, PA, Barbara A. Hackett & husband, William of Perkiomenville, PA; her daughter-in-law, Anne Meyers, her 12 grandchildren; her 30 great-grandchildren; her five great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Carole Montesi & husband, Lou of Laurel, MD; and her sister-in-law, Elaine Gordon of Mohnton, PA. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Justus Meyers; her granddaughter, Heather Rae Meyers; her great-granddaughter, Peyton Emma McHale; her great-grandson, Kristian Tyler McHale; her sister, Mary Boyer; her brother, Arthur Gordon; and her brother-in-law, Arthur Boyer. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 11:00 am at Deep Run Mennonite Church West, 1008 Deep Run Road, Perkasie, PA 18944, followed by an informal visitation and luncheon. A private inurnment will take place at Deep Run West Mennonite Cemetery.
