Jane Wiernusz Obituary

Jane Ann Wiernusz, 92, of Tunkhannock passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Friday April 18, 2025. Jane was born in Tunkhannock on Aug. 19, 1932 and she was the daughter of the late Everett and Mary Wagner Lane. Jane married the late Michael John Wiernusz on Nov. 19th1951 and they were married for 68 years, and was a member of the Nativity BVM.
Jane was a mother of 8 children. She enjoyed spending time on the farm, raising chickens, gardening, sewing and canning home-grown vegetables.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her children; Randy and wife Laura Wiernusz, Tunkhannock, LuAnn and husband Kevin Cobb, Clifford Twp., Mary Jane and husband William Keller, Tunkhannock, Robert and wife Leeann Wiernusz, Tunkhannock, Molly and husband Joseph Mattioli, Tunkhannock, Michael A. and wife Terry Wiernusz, Tunkhannock, Sharon and husband Ronald Baldo, Norfolk NE, and Timothy and wife Staci Wiernusz, Tunkhannock, nineteen grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; Her brother Andrew Lane and his wife Donna of Nicholson.
A Private Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday April 22, 2025. at 11am at Mount Carmel Cemetery Tunkhannock. Arrangements by Harding-Litwin Funeral Home, Tunkhannock.
