Janice L. Snyder, formerly of Red Hill, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025, in Quakertown, PA, just two days after her 84th birthday. Born in Allentown, PA, and the daughter of the late Ernest and Bessie (Houseknecht) Spencer, Janice led a life rich in love, laughter, and family.
Janice was the cherished wife of Thomas J. Snyder, with whom she shared 63 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in November 2022. Together, they created a warm and nurturing home filled with joy and cherished memories. A devoted mother, Janice found her greatest happiness in her role as a mom and dearly loved being a "grammom" and "great-grammom." Her family meant the world to her, and she relished every moment spent together.
Janice was known for her diverse talents and many careers. A true "jack of all trades," she held various positions throughout her life, including working at Pillsbury, cooking at a daycare, and working as a hairdresser before embracing her role as a self-employed mail courier. Her spirit of hard work and dedication was evident in everything she did.
Beyond her professional life, she was well-known for her unwavering faith, which served as a cornerstone of her life. Janice also enjoyed the challenge of puzzles and cherished the simple pleasure of visiting with friends and hosting mother/daughter tea parties. Her talent for baking brought joy to many, as she delighted in providing tasty treats for community gatherings, leaving behind sweet memories that will linger in the hearts of those she touched.
Janice is survived by her loving children: Jay T. Snyder and wife Jenee; Joey L. Snyder and wife Tina; Kelly R. McMullen and husband Joseph; sister, Joanne Lagler and husband, Jerald; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by a son, Jamie L. Snyder; and a sister, Doris Schultz.
