Jean Sechler Obituary

Jean M. Sechler, 83, of Allentown, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025 at the Inpatient Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Clayton Sechler. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of Martha (Harner) Leverington of Fountain Hill and the late Thomas Leverington. She was a member of the United Church of Christ Greenawalds. Before retiring, she worked for the Parkland School District in the cafeteria as well as a bookkeeper for her husband's business, B & C Painting. In her earlier years, she worked for Dun & Bradstreet. She will be remembered for her flower gardens and her love of travel. Survivors: mother Martha; daughter Christine L., wife of the late Harold Peterson of Allentown; brother David Leverington and his wife Shirley of Kutztown; sister Judith, wife of the late Norman Miller of Allentown; grandchildren April, wife of Nathan Stackhouse and Matthew Koch; great grandchildren Lacey, Owen and Alaina Stackhouse. She was predeceased by a daughter Carol Koch. Services: Private at the convenience of the family. Memorials can be considered to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, c/o the funeral home.
