Jerome Graytock Obituary

Jerome Graytock, 86, of Hellertown, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital – Bethlehem campus. Born in Wilkes Barre, October 10, 1938, Jerome was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Ferdo) Graytock. He faithfully and honorably served his county in the U.S. Navy during a peacetime era. Jerome was employed as a computer operator for the PA Department of Transportation for many years. He was a Catholic.
Survivors: Sister, Barbara A. Troyan of Orefield; nephews, James P. Troyan of Orefield, Jeffrey E. Troyan of Elkton, MD; niece, Tara A. Neville of Williamsburg, VA; predeceased by a brother, Robert A. Graytock.
Service: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am. Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield. The Reverend (Fr.) Nikolai R. Brelinsky will be the celebrant. No calling hours. Interment with military honors will follow the Mass at St. Mary's Byzantine Cemetery, Dallas, PA. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.

Jerome, you failed to make your battle stations during general quarters. You are now relieved from your watch. A job well done fellow navy veteran. The final battle is now over and peace has been restored. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The final volley has sounded and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation´s defender. Smooth sailing shipmate.
