John Ervin Obituary

John Henry "Ha Ha" Ervin, Jr. passed away on April 9, 2025 at the age of 57. Born in Philadelphia, a graduate of Wissahickon High School, John was the devoted son of John Sr. and Barbara-Ann (Kerr) and loving husband of Nad... Jeannine Ervin for 26 years. In life John was a patient, quiet man who showed little outward enthusiasm but for the few things he truly cherished: taking time off to watch the Masters, a rich cigar, his Grateful Dead t-shirts, morning-coffee-turned-spontaneous-beach-trips with his wife, and being a father to his 3 children. John's career spanned various roles in kitchens and country clubs that spoiled his family for the perfect burger, and "no" wasn't in his vocabulary. No one who has ever had the good fortune of knowing John's warmth and generosity of spirit will be quick to forget it. Along with his wife, John is carried in the hearts of his son Shaun Ervin (23), and his two daughters, Caitlin (33) and Elisabeth Pontoski (36), forever grateful for his love. A private memorial is being held by the family. Please visit www.RaffeoDiCecco.com for more information and to leave condolences.
