John P. "Jack" Horvath Jr.

John "Jack" P. Horvath, Jr., 81, of Stroud Township, passed away suddenly on Wednesday evening, October 22, 2025 at home. He was the husband of Ann M. (Rau) Horvath with whom he shared 58 years of marriage. Born on August 3, 1944 in Allentown, he was the son of the late John P. Sr. and Valeria Horvath and lived in Monroe County since 1967. Jack served in the United States Army and in earlier years worked as a bank representative for the Bank of PA in Allentown and Second National Bank of Nazareth. Later he was a store manager for ICI Glidden Paints and was also a local self-employed painter. He was of the Catholic faith. Jack enjoyed riding horses, his dogs, working in the yard, playing golf and supported many animal sanctuaries. He was very proud of his granddaughters an loved family vacations at Cape May, NJ. In addition to his wife, surviving are two sons, John Horvath and wife Jessica of Stroudsburg, and Brian Horvath and wife Shauna of Hopkinton, MA; four granddaughters, Emma and Bea Horvath of Stroudsburg and Kara and Kayley Horvath of Hopkinton, MA; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters; Janis Kelly, Jean DeLazaro and Joan Horvath.. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 29th, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg where viewing will begin at 10:00AM and be followed by a prayer service at 11:00am with Deacon Philip Zimich officiating. Burial will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial remembrances be made to St. Luke's Catholic Church, 818 Main Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360; AWSOM (Animal Welfare Society of Monroe), P.O.
