Joseph Bondra Obituary

Obituary of Joseph W. Bondra, Jr.
Joseph W. Bondra, Jr.
Joseph W. Bondra Jr., 85, of Jeffersonville, formerly of Conshohocken, PA, was called to reunite with his beloved sweetheart on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on December 21, 1939, in Norristown, PA, Joseph was the son of the late Joseph W. Bondra Sr. and the late Hilda (Spanitz-Talotta) Bondra. He spent his early years in Lakeside Village in Melbourne, Florida, before settling in Conshohocken, where he was raised and later raised a family of his own.
Joseph worked at North American Window and Door Co. in West Chester, PA, until his retirement. A man of faith, he served as a Eucharistic Minister and devoted parishioner at Ss. Cosmas and Damian Roman Catholic Church, and later as a member of St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church.
He was known for his dry sense of humor and steady presence. He could be serious when needed, and those who knew him best felt his deeply caring nature. He was quietly dependable, fiercely devoted to his family, and soft-hearted beneath a reserved exterior.
A talented musician, Joseph played keyboard for Jay's Five and Living Proof between the 1950s and 1970s, continuing to bring joy to others with music throughout his life. He had a sincere appreciation for simple pleasures-he was an avid dart player in the Conshy Dart League, found peace in following golf, and treasured quiet moments spent bird watching.
Joseph was predeceased by the love of his life, Lorretta (Piccirilli) Bondra; his sisters, Cecelia (Joe) Duncan and Kathleen (Ray) Tomczak; and his parents. He is survived by his three sons: Michael J. Bondra, Carmen J. Bondra, and Joseph Bondra III, all of Conshohocken; his grandchildren: Laury Raiken (Michael), Robert Pizzico (Meagan), Joseph Bondra IV, Carly Pearse (Erik), Carmen Bondra Jr., Michael Bondra Jr. (Angela), Evan Bondra (Dee), and Natalie Bondra; and his great-grandchildren: Libby, Henry, Ella, Jaxon, Dempsey, Audrianna, Hartlee, Chance, Gabe, Aiden, and Wesley.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church, 219 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA.
Friends may call at the church from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM on Tuesday morning.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
Joseph's legacy of humor, love, and unwavering devotion to his family will be cherished and remembered always.
Arrangements by Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA, (610) 828-0330.
