I was deeply saddened to hear of Joe's passing this week. He was not just a close cousin, but a good friend during our adolescence. We would work for my Dad selling fruits and vegetables...dressing up for Halloween... singing Christmas Carols....all door to door activities that has gone by the wayside over the years.
After high school we did not see each other often.. each of us exploring separate careers. Joe did, however, share the same desire to move on from Southeastern Pennsylvania to experience other areas in this unique and wonderful country.
I was so glad that Kay & I had the opportunity to visit with him during a recent trip back to Pennsylvania.
The time with him was so special...sharing a few of the meaningful moments and events that I enjoyed reliving with Joe. We laughed a lot that day, which is how I will forever remember Joe Licata.
He loved his family and dedicated his life to caring for them, even in his last days.
I love you, Joe, but not nearly as much as our God loves you. May you rest in the palm of His Hand forever.
