Julie Moyer Obituary
Julie A. Moyer, 74, of South Whitehall Township, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025 in her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Donald A. Moyer, who died in 2016. Born in Detroit, Michigan, she was a daughter of the late Ronald and Ruth (Campbell) Emig. Julie was a graduate of Salisbury High School and received an Associate's degree from LCCC. She enjoyed a multitude of jobs she held throughout the years – Commonwealth of PA Board of Probation, Certified Medical Assistant for Dr. Charles Renninger, cashier at Laneco and Pharmacy Clerk at CVS. Julie especially loved working as a Paraprofessional in the Allentown School District for 30 years, until retiring in 2016. Julie was a member of Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church in Allentown, where she previously taught Sunday School and was active with the Altar Flower Ministry. She was also a member of the Red Hatters, was an avid reader and enjoyed talking on the phone. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren. Survivors: Daughters, Michele M. Smith and her husband Duane of Northampton, Karie A. Kreutzer and her husband Alex of South Whitehall Township; sisters, Ellen Dorshimer and her husband William, Linda Messinger and her husband Kenneth; brother-in-law, George T. Moyer and his wife Carole; 3 grandchildren, Donovan Smith, Naomi Smith and Colin Kreutzer; Godson, Dan Dorshimer; life-long friends, Cookie and Willy Clauser, Carol and Barry Nagle; nieces and nephews. Julie was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Wenrich and her late husband William and a brother-in-law, James L. Diehl and his late wife Jean. Julie's family would like to extend a heartfelt "Thank You" to everyone at Lehigh Valley Hospice and the staff at the Lutheran Home in Topton for their exceptional care over the past year. Services: A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 in the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, 46 E. Susquehanna Street, Allentown. A viewing for relatives and friends will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Morgenland Eastern Salisbury Cemetery.
