June P. Bitzer

June P. Bitzer, 84, of Harleysville, PA; formerly of Perkasie, PA, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Peter Becker Community. She was born in Philadelphia PA to the late Raymond Bitzer and the late Lillian (Philipp) Bitzer. After June graduated from high school in Philadelphia, she furthered her education at West Chester University where she earned her bachelor's degree in music. She taught music in the Philadelphia school district. Later, June received her degree in library science and was employed in the Philadelphia school district and at Del-Val College as a librarian, where she remained until retirement. She was an experienced gardener and created a beautiful landscape at her home. June was active with several garden societies in the Bucks County area. She completed the Docent Program at Bowman Hill Wildflower Preserve and volunteered there for several years. June enjoyed music and played the piano at the care facility where her mother lived for a period of time. She also enjoyed reading, live theatre, museums, nice restaurants and her many beloved cats. June loved, enjoyed and supported her friends in good and bad times. She was always very generous with her time and treasure. June is survived by her cousin, Jane Pfeiffer, and her friend, Eleanor Kirbyson. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Bitzer and her mother, Lillian (Philipp) Bitzer There will be NO SERVICE.
