Kathleen McDevitt Obituary

In Loving Memory of Kathleen Mary McDevitt (Little) June 9, 1946 - September 6, 2025 With deep sorrow and love, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and friend, Kathleen Mary McDevitt, who left this world peacefully on September 6, 2025 surrounded by her family. A devoted wife for 56 years and a nurturing mother, Kathy was the heart of our home and the light of our lives. She gave endlessly of herself, always putting her family first with quiet strength, deep compassion, and unwavering love. Born in Darby, PA, Kathy was a source of warmth and grace. She led by quiet, humble example through volunteer work with various organizations close to her heart. Her love and dedication to family were apparent in everything she did, including the meals she lovingly prepared, the bedtime stories she told, the holiday traditions she created, and the countless everyday moments she turned into lifelong memories. Her presence made our house a home. She lived with purpose and kindness, offering support, encouragement, and a listening ear to those who needed it. She was inclusive, fair, and full of love, often finding herself befriended by strangers who were drawn to her compassionate presence. Her laughter, wisdom, and love will remain with us forever. Her love was our greatest gift; her memory is our greatest treasure. She is survived by her husband, Joseph J. McDevitt, Jr., her daughters, Colleen Valenzuela (Vincent), Laura Anderson (Christopher), and Megan Kern (Ryan), her beloved grandchildren, Andrew, Gabrielle, and Alexis Valenzuela, Aiden and Reagan Anderson, Hannah and Max Kern, her dog Charlie, and many cherished relatives and friends. Service: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 13, 2025 at St. Thomas More Church, 1040 Flexer Ave, Allentown. Family and friends may pay their respects from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Saturday in the church prior to Mass. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lehigh Valley Humane Society in her honor.
