Kenneth D. Held

Kenneth D. Held, 85, of Kutztown, passed away, Friday March 21, 2025 at home with his loving wife by his side. Born in Reading Kenneth was the son of the late Marcus G., Sr and Edna M. (Adams) Held. He was the loving husband to Vickie J. ( Fegley) Held whom he shared 21 wonderful year together. Kenny was a graduate of Kutztown High School, Class of 1957. He attended the Waldorf Astoria Cooking School for 4 years. Kenny was the owner/ operator of Held's Appliances for 50 years. He then worked for Kutztown University and lastly for the Kutztown Tavern. He was a long time member and Firefighter for Kutztown Fire Co. and drove the engine for 25 years. Kenny also was an over 50 year member of Huguenot Lodge No. 377, F&AM and a member of Rajah Shrine. He also held memberships in Kutztown Rotary, Hobos, Cougar Tail, and Blue Heron Hunting and Fishing Club. Survivors : Wife, Vickie, Stepson Chadwick Spaid, husband of Tammy, of Kutztown, Step Daughter Sarah Fry of North Carolina, and 4 grandchildren: Seth, Gavin, Nolan and Marisa. He was preceded by his Brother Marcus, Jr. Services will be held on Saturday March 29, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookside Rd., Breinigsville, PA 18031. Masonic services will be conducted by Huguenot Lodge No. 377 F&AM. Calling hour begins at 10:00 AM. Memorial donation in Kenny's memory may be made to the Lehigh Valley Autism Society c/o of the funeral home.
