Lillian Phifer Obituary

Lillian A. (Tornetta) Phifer, 92, wife of the late John Henry Phifer, Jr., passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, May 30, 2025. Born in Norristown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Bono) Tornetta. Lillian had a love for shopping, dancing, and baking, but above all, she cherished caring for her family. Surviving are her daughters, Alice Purvis, wife of Roy; Ann George, wife of Rick; son Kevin S. Phifer, husband of Barbara; Seven grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren; brother Sonny Tornetta, husband of Stephanie; sister Frances Phifer, wife of the late Harry Phifer. In addition to her beloved husband John, Lillian was predeceased by her sisters and their spouses: Betty Bucci (Tony); Mary Famularo (Tony); Angie Nacarella (George). A Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church (127 East Howard Street, Stowe, PA 19464), followed by a funeral mass at 12:00 PM. Internment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Patient Care Hospice (995 Old Eagle School Road, Wayne, PA 19087) in Lillian's memory.
