Linda Mertz Obituary

Linda Alice (Wilkie) Mertz, 78, of Zieglerville, wife of Barry Lee Mertz, passed away Friday October 17, 2025 at Frederick Living. Born in Chester, she was the daughter of the late David and Alice (Sandiford) Wilkie. Linda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and the proud matriarch of her family. She was also actively involved at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Obelisk. Surviving along with her husband are her sons Broc Mertz husband of Lauren Weaver and Eric Mertz; grandchildren Ciaran, Mari, Blaize, and Ava Mertz; brothers David and Gordon Wilkie; and sisters Marsha Montgomery and Betsey Kelly. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Wayne Wilkie. Funeral services will be held Saturday October 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 3206 Big Rd., Zieglerville, PA 19492. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:30-10:45 AM at the church. The family welcomes flowers or donations to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 3206 Big Rd., Zieglerville, PA 19492.
