Linda Vitko Obituary

Linda L. Vitko, 73, of Easton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 7, 2024, in St. Luke's Hospital-Anderson Campus. Born April 26, 1951, in Easton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Lucille (Buss) Heimbach. She and her husband, Robert S. Vitko, celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on January 24, 2024. Linda was a 1969 graduate of Easton Area High School. Along with her husband and daughters, she owned and operated Sacks Jewelers since 1991. Linda was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and cherished member of the community. She was known for her happy-go-lucky kind, generous, and selfless nature. Linda dedicated her life to her family, always putting their needs first, and found immense joy in celebrating holidays and special occasions with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed sharing meals, traveling, trips to casinos, time with friends, Wednesday night cards, and as an avid Eagles fan, watching Sunday football games. Linda loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities. She was a member of the former St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Easton. In addition to her husband, Bob, she is survived by four daughters, Kimberly Vitko, Colleen Smith and her husband Bryan, and Bobbi Vitko, all of Easton, and Ashli B. Selvaggio Granneman and her husband Chris, of Bethlehem; six grandchildren, Kailyn Fulmer, Kyler Wagner and his wife Victoria, Brianna, Cassidy, and Ella Smith, and Michael "Mikey" Selvaggio; nine siblings, Edward Sigman and his wife Connie, of Nazareth, Sandra O'Connell and her husband Daniel, of Easton, Gary Sigman and his wife MariAnne, of Palmer Township, Dennis Sigman and his wife Sharon, of Easton, Deborah Rissmiller and her husband Steve, of Easton, Robert Heimbach, of Bethlehem, Timothy Heimbach and his wife Marianne, of Easton, Thomas Heimbach, of Easton, and Paul Heimbach and his wife Tracy, of Tobyhanna; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Michael P. Selvaggio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Noon Friday, December 13th, in Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 3219 Santee Road, Bethlehem. Call Thursday 5-7pm in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton St., Wilson Borough, and Friday 11am-Noon in the church. Interment will be private. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to CHOP Foundation, Attn: Neurology Department; memo: In memory of Linda Vitko in honor of Michael Selvaggio, PO Box 781352, Philadelphia, PA 19178.
