Lorraine Greenwald Obituary

Lorraine C. Greenwald, age 76, of Reading, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025, at the hospital after a brief illness, surrounded by love. Born on June 23, 1949, in Reading, PA, Lorraine was the beloved daughter of the late Martin Greenwald and Aura (Bitting) Greenwald, who now welcome her home with open arms. Lorraine was a proud graduate of Reading High School. She built a fulfilling career in banking, where she was known for her dedication and professionalism. In later years, she continued to share her talents in administrative and marketing roles with several CPA firms including C. Malcolm Smith & Co. and Pancerella & Associates CPA, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Lorraine lived a life full of quiet grace and gentle strength. Known for her kind heart and compassionate spirit, she touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She had a special love for animals, often opening her heart to those in need. Her adventurous soul found joy in traveling and discovering the beauty in the world around her. Lorraine's presence was a gift - her laughter, her warmth, and the way she made others feel seen and valued will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed by her many friends, co-workers, and all whose lives she brightened with her kindness. Though she may be gone from our sight, she will remain forever in our hearts. You were a joy to work with Lorraine. You were one of the reasons that it was hard to leave CMS when I got sick three years ago. I'm happy that you are pain free now and peaceful with Jesus, your family and loved ones.

I was a co-worker of Lorraine's from Meridian Bank. I remember at that time she talked about going to Greece. We lost touch after a little while as often happens. She always seemed happy and pleasant. I am sad to hear of her passing. I am sure her parents will welcome her home.
