Lourdes Rolon Obituary
Lourdes I. Rolón, affectionately known as Lory to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 10, 1959, in Queens, NY, Lory was a beacon of joy and strength throughout her life.
Lory was the cherished daughter of Lydia Ortega-Sierra and the late Domingo Rolón-Melendez. She grew up in a bustling household as the oldest of seven children, a role she embraced with grace and responsibility.
After graduation from high school, she received her Associates Degree from Baruch College, New York. Throughout her professional life, Lory was a respected Corporate Administrator, working for various New York corporate companies. Beyond her professional achievements, Lory's life was marked by her passions and her faith. She had an undying love for her family, which was the cornerstone of her existence. Her enjoyment of music and dancing was infectious, often being the life of the party and encouraging others to join in the fun. Lory's strong Catholic faith was a guiding light in her life, providing her with comfort and purpose. She was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church, Bethlehem and a former member of Our Lady of Pompeii Church, Brooklyn, NY.
Survivors: In addition to her mother, Lydia, daughter and husband, Krystle and Robert Rodger, Lourdes, also known as Lory, will also be lovingly remembered by her grandson, Leo Dubnow, and siblings, Myra and husband Onix Reyes, Millie Rolón, Eric and wife Ann Rolón, Elvin Rolón and Dr. Ernesto Rodriguez, Betsy Rolón and husband William Benitez, and Albert and wife Ivette Rolón. Lourdes is also survived by a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
As we bid farewell to Lory, we celebrate a life lived with love at its center. Her laughter, her dance moves, and her unwavering faith will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. Lory will be deeply missed, but her spirit will remain a guiding force for all who loved her.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Incarnation of Our Lord Catholic Church, 617 Pierce St., Bethlehem, PA 18015. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. Lory's arrangements have been entrusted to the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem. You are invited to share a tribute under "Share a Memory."
