Marian Zebrowski Obituary
Marian Zebrowski, 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, surrounded by her family and closest friends at Sterling Heights Senior Living. Born on November 12, 1934, she was the cherished daughter of the late Mary Catherine (Ward) Klinkhoff and Joseph D. Klinkhoff, Sr., and beloved sister to the late Joseph Klinkhoff, Jr.
A graduate of Bethlehem High School, class of 1952, Marian's strong work ethic was evident early in life. She began her career at Apollo Metal in Bethlehem before moving on to Fairfax Mills in Allentown, where she worked as a receptionist and telephone operator. Her entrepreneurial spirit and love of music shone brightly when she and her late husband, Charles "Chuck" Zebrowski, operated Chuck Zee Entertainment Agency from 1960 to 1976. Her next chapter fueled her passion for sewing, with her work as a clerk at Richard Herzon Fabrics in Fountain Hill.
Despite the physical challenges later in life that confined her to a wheelchair and her signature cherry-red scooter, Marian never let her spirit be dampened. Her hands were rarely still-always knitting or crocheting-creating countless baby caps and blankets for the NICU babies at Lehigh Valley Hospital, a testament to her generous heart. And her head was never without feathers, ears, pom-poms, or other whimsical accessories-an outward expression of her zest for life.
Marian dedicated her life to serving and honoring the city of Bethlehem. She was a tour guide for the Christmas City Nite Light Tours, dressed in traditional Moravian garb. A devoted parishioner of St. Ursula's Church in Fountain Hill, she lent her powerful tenor voice to the choir, as well as to the Cathedral Choral Society. Marian was an active member of the Lehigh South Side Booster Club, and fan of the Lehigh Football team, rarely missing a game and well-known for making neck pillows for the players. She also volunteered at the Miller-Keystone Blood Bank and ushered for the Bach Choir. Her steadfast commitment to giving back to her community will be deeply missed.
Marian's life was a tapestry of love, kindness, service, and creativity. She left an indelible mark on all those she encountered-whether it was a friend of 50 years or someone she met in the final weeks of her life. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her. There is no one like Marian-we all can attest to that. Her thoughtful nature, her ability to make people smile, and her unforgettable laugh will be dearly missed. How lucky we were to be part of her time on Earth. And how lucky we are to know that her spirit lives on in the butterflies, cats, and flickers of light that surround us all.
Survivors: Her legacy continues through her daughters-who are strength personified-Maria Shifter and Charlene Zebrowski Augello, along with their husbands, Tom Shifter and David Augello. Her brother-in-law, Gregory Zebrowski, will miss his friend and sister dearly. And her grandchildren, Giuliana and Tomas Augello, will forever remember their grandmother for her boundless love, all the way to the moon and back.
