Mary Heiberger Obituary

Mary J. Heiberger, 89, of Allentown, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. She was the wife of the late Gilbert R. Heiberger, who died in 2019. Born in East Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Elma (Weiss) Weller. Mary was a graduate of William Allen High School and received her BA in Accounting from DeSales University. She was a self-employed Certified Public Accountant and accredited Business Accountant for 55 years. Mary was a member of the Pennsylvania Society of Tax & Accounting Professionals - Lehigh Valley Chapter since 1985. She was also a member of St. Mark's UCC in Allentown. Mary enjoyed needlepoint, reading and watching the Game Show Network. Survivors: Daughters, Diane Nickum, Violet Zimmerman and Roseann Rios (Leonardo), all of Allentown; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Mary was also preceded in death by a son John Heiberger, sister Pauline Wagner, brothers George and David Weller and son-in-law William Zimmerman, Jr. Services: A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 in the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, 46 E. Susquehanna Street, Allentown. A viewing for relatives and friends will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, may be made to St. Mark's UCC, 52 E. Susquehanna Street, Allentown, PA 18103.
