Mary Lou Hodes

Mary Lou Hodes, 91, died peacefully with her family be her side Monday May 26, 2025, at her residence in Fellowship Manor in Whitehall. She was the wife of the late Reuel L. Hodes, Sr. and celebrated 52 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2012. Born in Galena, MD, she was a daughter of the late Elwood and Elsie (McCord) Hodes. Mary Lou graduated from Slatington High School in 1951 and worked for many years as a secretary in the insurance industry. She was a member of the former Grace United Methodist Church of Catasauqua, where she sang in the choir. Mary Lou loved to play bingo. She was a loving mother and grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving is her daughter Robin Cirocco and husband Michael, son Reuel L. Hodes, Jr. and wife Lisa, grandchildren Andrew Hodes and wife Amy, Kevin Hodes and wife Alex, Amanda Hodes, Daniel Cirocco and wife Cindy, Ryan Cirocco and wife Amonrat, Joshua Cirocco, Megan Wahl and husband Adam, great grandchildren Bethany, Hannah, Isabella, Theo, Lyra, Piper, brother-in-law James Sticher, sister-in-law Joan Eckhart and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Arlene Sticher, and brothers John and Merrill Eckhart. A funeral service will be held at 10am Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Fellowship Community in the Zentz Center, 3000 Fellowship Drive, Whitehall, PA 18052. Her viewing will be held from 9-10am Saturday at the Zentz Center. Brubaker Funeral Home is honored to handle the arrangements. Interment to follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Allentown.
