Michael Reno Obituary

It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved "Mike". He was born on June 13, 1940, to Roger and Sue Reno and passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025. He shared 67 years of marriage with his very fortunate and adoring wife, Beverly (Foulk) Reno. A 1958 graduate of Allentown High School, he later attended the Dale Carnegie Management Seminar, after which he was employed as the Director of Research and Development for a newly-formed company, ComCom (Computer Composition), where he worked for nearly 30 years. At the end of his career, he was the Lead Systems Programmer for UGI. His family members loved his wry, dry sense of humor (fondly referred to as "snarkasm"), but he will also be remembered as a very gentle, loving person with whom they were blessed to share many special years. Mike was always interested in sports cars and antique cars and was a member of the Delaware Valley Miata Club. He was a volunteer at the America on Wheels museum since its inception. Mike enjoyed all types of music, especially Jazz, Opera, Classical and Classic Rock. He also enjoyed reading and staying current with technology. He loved sailing his boat, vacationing with his family, and taking road trips in his Miata with his wife and friends. Mike is survived by his wife Beverly, daughters Melissa Sassaman (Todd) and Lisa Nyce (Bryan); grandchildren Brian and Scott Laudenslager, Emily and Olivia Nyce, and Joseph Reno; great-grandchildren Cristian, Aydan and Makaila; brother and sister-in-law Jack and Jackie Reno; and several nieces and nephews. Mike was predeceased by his sons Chris and Greg Reno and grandson Michael "Mikey" Reno. A celebration of life will be announced at a later time. Arrangements by Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Mike's name to the Allentown Area Ecumenical Food Bank, The Sixth Street Shelter or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
