Miles Marsh Obituary

Miles Norman Marsh (known as "Norman" to all), 90, of Stroudsburg, died early Friday morning, February 7, 2025, at the Lehigh Valley Hospice House in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Janet H. (Sheldon) Marsh with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.
Born on November 16, 1934 in East Stroudsburg he was the son of the late George and Elizabeth (Flyte) Marsh and was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.
He served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959 and in earlier years worked at a local toy factory. Later he was employed by BASF in Belvidere, NJ from where he retired.
Norman was a fifty-five year member of the Stroud Township Volunteer Fire Department where he served as the BINGO chairman, and in later years, a member of the Fire Police.
Norman was an avid fan of country music and spent many years playing guitar and singing in a country band.
He loved spending time with his family and could always be found attending his grandchildren's sporting events and concerts.
He was a kind man who loved making people laugh and was devoted to taking care of his family.
In addition to his wife, surviving are two children, Audra Marsh and wife Deborah and Robert LaBar and wife Darlene all of Stroudsburg; eight grandchildren, Annalise LaBar, Maya LaBar, Michael Marsh, Katherine Johnson, Daniel Marsh, Joshua Bankes, Zachary Bankes and Stephen Sandt; nine great-grandchildren; and two daughters-in-law, Debra Marsh and Mary Beth LaBar Sciabica.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Marco Marsh and Ronald LaBar; and a sister, Lorraine Smith.
Services will be held on Wednesday, February 12th, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg with viewing beginning at 2:00PM followed by the funeral service at 3:00PM with Pastor Margie Good officiating. Cremation will follow.

Mr. Marsh, you are now relieved from your post. A job well done fellow veteran. The final battle is now over and peace has been restored. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The final volley has sounded and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation“s defender. Farewell fellow veteran.
