Molly Kramer Obituary

Molly Rentos Kramer, 94, of Riverview Park, Reading, entered into eternal peace on Saturday, September 27, 2025 in her residence with family by her side. She was the wife of the late Gerald I. (Jerry) Kramer, who passed away October 26, 1999. Born in Reading on July 11, 1931, Molly was the daughter of the late George John Rentos and Stravroula (Mbliamblias) Rentos, both parents born in Greece. A 1950 graduate of Reading High School and a member of the National Honor Society, she became a seamer of designer full fashion hosiery at Berkshire Knitting Mills, and later was employed by Talbott Knitting Mills seaming their stylish ladies' garments. In 1980, Molly was employed by AT&T Technologies Microelectronics, which later became Lucent, retiring after 16 years in July 1996. Together with her husband, Molly loved to travel, visiting many places in the United States and Canada and especially loved cruises to Hawaii, Bermuda, the Caribbean, and Greece. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, gardening, reading novels and was an exceptional poet, having some of her pieces published. Throughout her life, Molly was a very faith-filled woman. She was a member of the Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church of Wyomissing, PA and a very proud member of the church's St. Xenia Philoptochos Society, a philanthropic organization whose name translates to "Friend of the Poor". For years, she helped bake bread and pastry in preparation for the church's annual bazaar and also served on the food line in the dining room. Molly made many life-long friends, was loved and will be missed by everyone fortunate enough to know her. However, the most important part of her life was family. She was preceded in death earlier this year by her sister, Evangeline Billys and her brother, Dr. Pantelis Rentos. Surviving are her children: daughter Cheryl A. Kramer-Zabrecchi & husband Roland J. Zabrecchi and son Dr. Jon G. Kramer & wife Donna. Considered her "many gifts from God" are her grandchildren: Lindsey (Kuszyk) Kopec & husband Scott; Lauren (Kuszyk) Garman & husband Andrew; James Kramer & wife Nora; Nicole (Kramer) Ellis & husband Richard; and great-grandchildren Blake & Axel Kopec, Jason & Joyce Kramer, and Blair & Chloe Ellis. Also surviving are her loving nieces and nephews: Dr. Michael Billys, Stephanie Billys, George Rentos, Michael Rentos, Bonnie (Brown) Stock and Vicki Kramer. Funeral services will be held at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church; 1001 East Wyomissing Blvd.; Reading, PA 19611 on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 10AM. . Internment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. The family will receive friends at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church Thursday from 9:00-10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Molly's memory to St. Xenia Philoptochos Society c/o Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church at the above address. Sanders Funeral Home of Reading is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be expressed at www.sandersfuneral.com

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Molly was always very cheerful and pleasant to be in her company. She was very proud of and loved her family. I always enjoyed our conversations when she came to see me in my office. RIP Molly

I met Molly at Western Electric back in the early 1980's - she was the sweetest lady I ever met and we instantly became friends! She was so nervous about learning her job as an aligner in Linear I and I said " You can do it because I am going to teach you " Such a great lady to have known and loved her family so very much !!!! Rest in Peace Molly,,,,,

It was a pleasure taking care of Molly. She was a very proud and kind woman. I will miss her beautiful smile every time I would come to take care of her. Fly high Molly. I will miss you very much. Big hugs.
