Nassim Younes Obituary

Nassim Younes, 86, passed away on January 25, 2025 in peace and comfort surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Athina Barhoum Younes. Born on January 5, 1939, in Amar, Syria to the late Elias and Aziza (Ristom) Younes. He immigrated to the United States in 1976. He worked at Quaker Shoe in Allentown, then worked at Hab Textile in Allentown before retiring. He loved to listen to Arabic music and dancing. His interest was planting and working in his garden. The love of his life was his children and grandchildren. Survivors: Brothers Younes Younes husband of Fairouz Kholi and Daniel Younes husband of Nouhad Mammary; his son George husband of Ahlam Saloum Younes, daughters: Aziza wife of Aziz Saloum and Sara wife of Issam Daboura; 12 grand children and 1 great grandchild, and lots of nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife, brother Khalil Younes, daughter Georgette Younes and two sons, Elias and Kamil Younes. Condolences will be accepted on Wednesday, January 29th, 2025 from 6 pm to 9 pm at the American Amarian Club, 521 Front St., Catasauqua, PA 18032. Funeral Service: Viewing from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 30, all at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 501 Ridge Ave., Allentown, PA. 18102. Arrangements by Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown.
