Peter Rossum Obituary

Peter van Rossum, 74, of Washington, NJ passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025. Born March 7, 1951 in Germany, he was the son of the late Henry and Louise van Rossum. Peter grew up in Philadelphia, PA. Educated at the R.I.T College of Graphic Arts & Photography as a print shop worker, he plied his trade for over 20 years. Later in life, pursuing his passion for teaching, he retrained and taught computer applications courses for adults. Peter studied karate for 30 years, earning his black belt and opening his own school. He loved the outdoors, swimming, and hiking with his dog. In addition to his parents, Peter was preceded in death by his loving wife of 16 years, Karen van Rossum and his half-sister, Margot. Peter is survived by his son, Evan van Rossum of Washington, NJ and his sister, Alexandria. An outdoor service will be held later this spring. Arrangements are entrusted to Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St., Easton, PA.
