Redell Hurst

Redell Hurst, 80, of Easton, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025, at her home.
Born November 1, 1944, in Cuthbert, GA, she was a daughter of the late John Henry Holmes and Flossie L. (Shingles) Holmes.
Through the years, Redell and her husband, Roger, had been foster-parents to many children.
Redell loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed bingo, crocheting, baking and casinos.
She was a longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church and the former Second Baptist Church.
Surviving is her loving husband, Roger L. Hurst, Sr., two sons, Timothy Hurst, Sr., and Robert Williams, both of Easton; a daughter, Sherri Ann Cooley, of Easton; four brothers, Larry Holmes and his wife Diane, of Palmer Township, Robert Holmes and his wife Wanda, of Williams Township, Jacob Holmes and Mark Anthony Holmes, both of Easton; two sisters, Pearl Holmes, of Easton, and Antoinette Holmes, of Allentown; eleven grandchildren, Taynell Cooley and his wife Damaris, Edward Scipio, Jr., Tredressa Stragratanio and her husband John, Shiera, Zavier and Tiger Hurst, Tristina Fagan, Fontessa Hurst, Timothy Hurst, Jr., Jayonna and Jayde Williams; eleven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Roger L. Hurst, Jr., and five brothers, John Henry Holmes, Jr., Perry, Floyd and Leander Holmes, and Charles Holmes, Sr.

Services will be held at Noon Thursday, February 6th, in Revival Fire Ministries, 927 W. Berwick St., Easton. Call Thursday 11am-Noon in the church. Interment will be in Easton Cemetery.
