Richard Lentz Obituary

Richard T. Lentz passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025 at the ago of 93. He was the husband of Violet Lentz and they celebrated 71 years of marriage this year. Richard was a son of the late Walter and Vera Lentz. He was a graduate of Allentown High School Class of 1950. Richard served as a National Army Guard for three years. He worked at Emmaus Ford and Vinart Ford as a registered technician and transmission specialist for 42 years. Richard was very mechanically inclined, and he was artistically talented when it came to designing creative hardscaping inside and outside his home. He enjoyed converting a Railroad Express truck into a motor home. Richard also enjoyed being a member of the Family Motor Coach Association through RVing and visited almost every state. He loved spending time with his family, friends and his grand dogs. The people around him loved his sense of humor and his storytelling. Surviving are his wife, Violet; daughter, Donna and her husband Kevin; three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Richard was predeceased by his son Thomas, brother Frank and sister Lois. The family has entrusted K.V. Knopp Funeral Home of Allentown with the arrangements. Services were held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
