Robert Gavin Obituary
Bob was the beloved husband to Carol Gavin (nee Greenfield) for 27 beautiful years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving children Jennifer McNeill (late Garvin), Jeffrey Gavin, and step-daughter Karin Gairo (John), his brothers Edward Gavin (Genevieve), and John Gavin (Monica), as well as his 7 grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents William and Miriam Gavin, his brother William Gavin (Veronica), his step-son Michael Aman, his son-in-law Garvin "Mac" McNeill, and his granddaughter Skylar McNeill.
Bob graduated from North Catholic High School, he danced on Bandstand and he was a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airbourne. He was proud to be a Philadelphia Firefighter for 38 years at Ladder 18.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet Bob's family on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 9:30 AM until his Funeral Mass at 10:30 at St. Martha Church, 11301 Academy Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154. His interment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, PA.
In lieu of sending flowers, contributions in Bob's name may be made to the Local 22 Widow's Fund, 415 N. 5th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123.

Bob was a Nicetown/Tioga man. I lived a couple of streets from him and Bob always had time to play ball with us younger guys !! I got on the Fire Dept and I didn't Bob was already on until I was detailed to E-59's it really was a small world !! RIP Bob !!!!
