Dear Janet, Judy, and family. Dave and I looked forward to seeing Bob in the office at tax time. He was always so upbeat and fun to talk to. I know he touched many lives. Find peace in knowing he will be remembered in such a good way!

Talked to you a couple times, at the Banquets, clambakes, at my parent's house (Jersey Deibert always made that happen) R.I.P. ! I talked to Gates Brown over 30 years ago, when he was coaching the Catskill Cougars, and he knew I HAD TO BE FROM THE Lehigh Valley!

How lucky we were to be blessed with this giant of a man. From little on up every interaction with Uncle Butch was filled with laughter and love. Thank you for all you were to Dad , Mom, me and my siblings. I will always remember your laugh. Until we meet again. Rest well.

For over 30 years Butch and his wife opened their doors to numerous of my students who wanted to meet the local pitcher who spent time in the big leagues.
Always happy, always smiling, always joking
Such a wonderful person.
Thank you for being my friend

I am so sad hearing the passing of Butch.
My condolences to Mrs.Heffner, Terry and Judy. I´d see him occasionally throughout the years, and he was always very nice.
Butch was a great guy when I knew him early in my life, playing baseball with Terry.
He was always at the games rooting us on. Always full of fun.
I always had deep respect for him,
He always seemed so happy.
The Lehigh Valley has lost a true legend.
He will be missed...

Wish I could have met or known you Bob. I´ve know about you for a long time from collecting sports memorabilia. Recently, through my YouTube channel (History and Relics), I did a docu-video on "Gates" Brown of the Detroit Tigers. In Brown´s major League debut he faced you and the Boston Red Sox which was during your major league debut as well. "Gates", in his first at bat ever got a pinch-hit home run off of you. This happened on June 19, 1963. In later years, you came to Ohio and pitched for Cleveland.
Condolences and prayers to the Heffner family for your tremendous loss. Bob will forever be remembered as a great ball player who played with passion.
May God Bless you,
John K. Heffner
