Roseanne D’Angelo Obituary

Roseanne S. D'Angelo, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2025, while in the care of Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem, PA. Born on August 14, 1949, in Ozone Park, Queens, NY, Roseanne lived a vibrant life filled with love, laughter, and the joy of sharing her many talents with those around her. Roseanne's early years in Ozone Park were the foundation of a life characterized by dedication and compassion. She was the daughter of the late Alfred Varano and Theresa (Caccavale) Varano, who instilled in her the values of family and hard work, traits she carried throughout her life. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Alfred and Ronald Varano. For over 20 years, Roseanne contributed to her community through her work in corrections on Rikers Island, NY, where she was not just a respected colleague but also a mentor and educator. Her commitment to helping others extended beyond her professional life, as she left a lasting impact on all those she worked with. Roseanne's personal life was a testament to her loving nature. She is survived by her devoted sons, Andrew D'Angelo of Easton, PA, and Salvatore D'Angelo, Jr., and his wife Jessica of Chester, NJ. She took immense pride in her role as a loving Guga to her grandchildren, Faith and Salvatore Ronald D'Angelo, who will carry forward her legacy of warmth and generosity. She is also survived by her former husband Salvatore D'Angelo, Sr. Roseanne's family was her world, and she cherished every moment she spent with them, especially during the holidays when she could showcase her exceptional skills as a master cook and baker. Roseanne's love for entertaining was matched only by her passion for music. She had an enduring affection for the songs of Barbra Streisand, which often filled her home during gatherings and quiet moments alike. Her love for music was a reflection of her own spirit-a melody of resilience, beauty, and depth that resonated with all who knew her. Services: Calling hours will be held on Thursday January 30 from 5 PM to 8 PM and again on Friday, January 31 from 10 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial, all at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem PA 18020.
