Ryan Szczepanik Obituary

Ryan Joseph Szczepanik, 22, of Pottstown, PA, passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 20, 2025. He was born in Norristown, PA, on June 10, 2003, the cherished son of Jennifer L. Ryan graduated from Pottstown High School in 2022, and afterward he joined the custodial maintenance team at the school, where he took great pride in his work. He had also volunteered with the Sanatoga Fire Company, showing his care for his community and willingness to help others. Ryan had a joyful and creative spirit. He loved building Lego sets and often shared his creations on his Instagram page. Trains were one of his greatest passions; he loved riding them, building them from Legos, and collecting train pieces. He also enjoyed adding to his bobblehead collection and playing video games on his PlayStation and Xbox. Ryan will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Jennifer Szczepanik; his father, John Szczepanik; his grandmothers, Peggy Reagan and Sandra Szczepanik; his uncle, Scott (Tisha) Reagan; his aunt, Karen Szczepanik (Hill) Riley; and his cousins, Jackson, Gwen, Brady, John, and Mackenzie. He is also survived by many friends and members of the community whose lives he touched and who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Thomas Reagan and John P. Szczepanik. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Houck & Gofus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 955 N. Ryan and I spent a lot of time together! I first met Ryan as a para-educator and football coach at Pottsgrove Middle School! Our paths crossed once again when I took a job at Pottstown High School where Ryan was a student we reminisced on our times at Pottsgrove, and over the next 2 years we spent a lot time together talking WWII,Legos and anything else fun.

I'm a student Ryan would interact with at lunch with my friend group. Ryan never had a bad thing to say. He was caring, funny, and never failed to say hello whenever we'd see each other in the halls. I remember he would come by our friend group area and make jokes with us while he did his routine, and I remember how he related to my friend group. Rest in peace, Ryan. You're still part of the conversation in spirit.
