Serena Treby Obituary

Serena L. Treby, 97, formerly of Emmaus, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025, in the Manor at Market Square, Reading. She was the wife of the late Frederick E. Treby. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Oscar and Serena Lavina (Kerschner) Iobst. Serena was a graduate of Allentown High School, class of 1945. She was a homemaker but enjoyed a few jobs that were all based around art. Serena enjoyed painting, ceramic work, miniature crafts and was a sewer. She also loved cats and spending time with her grandchildren. She was the last surviving child of 10 siblings. Survivors: Granddaughter: Kelly A. Stephenson and her husband Jason M. of Wernersville; Grandson: Matthew C. Hentz and his husband Dale Kuhns II of Emmaus; Great-grandson: Tyson L. Stephenson. Serena was predeceased by her daughter Phyllis Treby Hentz in 2022. Graveside Services: 11 am Saturday, May 3, 2025, Northwood Cemetery, 100 Harrison St., Emmaus. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., 17 th Floor, Chicago, IL 60601, in memory of her late daughter Phyllis Hentz.
