Sharon J. Nichols

Sharon J. Nichols, 83, of Reeders, passed away early Saturday morning, March 15, 2025, while under hospice care at home. She was the widow of Douglas Nichols. Born on December 3, 1941 in East Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Kate Mullins. Sharon lived in Monroe County for most of her life other than from 1963 to 1973 when residing in Philadelphia. In her early years she worked at the Monroe Security Bank and then was employed by the family business, Mullins Insurance Agency in Stroudsburg as a secretary and claims agent. Surviving are three sons, Doug Nichols and wife Lisa of Stroudsburg, and Jack Nichols and Scott Nichols both of Reeders; three grandchildren, Chad Nichols and wife Lindsay Garde, Kevin Nichols, and Aimee Nichols and fiancé Chris Genese; two great-grandchildren, Lillian Garde and Madelyn Garde; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harry A. Mullins. Private services will take place at the convenience of the family. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the William H. Clark Funeral Home in Stroudsburg.
