Shauna J. Richards

Shauna J. Richards, 53, of Harleysville, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Gary A. Richards; they would have celebrated 17 years of marriage this June. Born in Hollywood, Florida, Shauna was the daughter of the late Judith Zimmerman and a 1989 graduate of Milton Hershey School. Shauna organized and was passionately involved with many non-profit/charitable organizations such as The Greenhouse Mission(Uganda), The Breast Of Us(providing custom padded bras for women who have had to endure mastectomies), Mommies of Harleysville, It Takes A Village, Friends Of God(Theophilus), Daily Bible Verse, running websites for local schools, and the list goes on. Shauna will be remembered for her deep love for her family, her strength, and her generous spirit, always striving to make a difference in the lives of others. In addition to her husband, Gary, she is survived by her five daughters, Alyssa, Julie, Hailey, Ellie, and Dara Moon; her sister, Dawn; and her brother, Danny. Shauna's warmth, laughter, and unwavering support will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service to celebrate Shauna's life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 3, at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, where the family will receive friends from 9-10:45 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Milton Hershey School Alumni Association (Cancer Care)
