Stephen Smith Obituary

Stephen A. Smith, 66, of Pocono Summit, PA, formerly of Allentown, PA, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025, in his home. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Harold A. and Jean E. (Wenner) Smith. Stephen was a graduate of William Allen High School. He was a draftsman and Project Manager for many years before retiring. Stephen loved fishing, especially in the ocean. His favorite vacations were to go hiking, camping, and spending time at the cabin with his sisters, niece, nephews and sons. Stephen loved animals, probably more than people at times. He just loved nature and was very big into sports. Stephen was a very tough wrestler in his youth and was a rough player on the rugby field. As he got older his sisters got him hooked on volleyball, where he excelled not only as a player but also as a ref. Stephen's dream of retirement was to just travel around without destination nor worry. He will always be loved and the legacy of FLOYD! will always live on. Survivors: Sons: Brad A. Smith of Allentown, Bryan J. Smith and his wife Marlyn of Allentown; Grandchildren: Acacia, Aurora, Noah, Lillian; Sister: Elizabeth A. Sandt of Allentown. Stephen is also survived by nieces and nephews and was predeceased by his sister Ellen S. Smith. Services: A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the future.
