Susan Abrams

Susan (Wallack) Abrams, 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of the late Richard Abrams. Born in Newark, Susan was the daughter of the late Irving and Ruth (Silverman) Wallack. A proud graduate of Kean University, Susan dedicated most of her career to teaching in the Bethlehem Area School District. She was a longtime member of Congregation Brith Sholom in Bethlehem. Susan had a passion for shopping, reading, traveling, and taking cruises, and she especially enjoyed visits to the casino. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family, who meant everything to her. Survivors: Susan will be deeply missed by her children, Karen Yerkes and her husband Stephen, Jill Kristie and her husband Kevin, and Andrew Abrams and his wife Abbe; her sister, Jackie Chapla and her husband George; and her beloved grandchildren, Rylee Yerkes and Kamryn Yerkes. Services: A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Congregation Brith Sholom, 1190 Macada Road, Bethlehem, PA 18017. Burial will follow at Brith Sholom Cemetery.
