Thomas Trinkle Obituary

Thomas J. Trinkle, a steadfast and loving presence in the lives of many, passed away on July 3, 2025, at the Lehigh Valley Hospice Inpatient in Allentown, PA, after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on February 26, 1946, in Allentown, PA, to the late Louis and Pauline (Augustine) Trinkle, Thomas's life was full of integrity, community service, and devotion to family. A proud graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School, Thomas furthered his education by earning a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Penn State University. His academic achievements set the stage for a successful career as an accountant, where his meticulous nature and strong work ethic were greatly valued by colleagues and clients alike. Thomas's sense of duty extended beyond his professional life. He served his country with honor as an Army Radio Operator during the Vietnam War. Those who knew him could attest to his stories filled with both the gravity of service and the bonds formed between soldiers. Beyond his work and military service, Thomas had a zest for life that was contagious. He was an avid golfer, finding joy and tranquility on the greens. Family gatherings throughout the year and weekly card games with friends found his laughter echoing through the room as he enjoyed the company of his loved ones. His adventurous spirit was never more apparent than when he traversed the country on his motorcycle, a testament to his love for the open road and the freedom it offered. Thomas's memory will be cherished and kept alive by his adored siblings, Louise Rohrbach of Coopersburg and James (Helen) Trinkle of Allentown. He was a beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews, Tia, Kim, Tara, Denise, James, and Nicholas, 11 great nieces and nephews, and 2 great great nieces, each of whom will carry forward his legacy of kindness, strength, and generosity. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Russel A.P. Rohrbach. The family wishes to thank everyone at hospice involved in his care for the love, kindness and compassion he received. As we bid farewell to Thomas J. Trinkle, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and love. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him, but his spirit remains a guiding light. Thomas's life story is not just one of individual achievement, but also one of the enduring bonds of family, the camaraderie of fellow soldiers, and the countless lives he touched with his compassion. Services: A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 12:30 P.M. at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery- 60 Indiantown Gap Road, Annville, PA 17003.
