Tina Devaney Obituary

Tina Marie Devaney was born August 5, 1953, to the late Richard J. and June M. (Finnen) Devaney in Phoenixville, PA. She graduated in 1971 from Phoenixville Area High School, where she was a cheerleader and Pep and Varsity club member. She graduated from the business curriculum and began her working career. Tina worked at INA for 11 years before becoming administrative assistant at Brown Printing Company for 14 years, where she was the right-hand woman to her favorite boss, Rosie Amato. Her favorite career choice was working for New World aviation in Allentown PA. She retired from Greco Materials in 2022. In her youth, Tina enjoyed her social life, going to dances and clubs nearly every weekend with her many friends. She was an avid golfer and had two holes-in-one at Butter Valley golf course. More recently, she enjoyed game nights with neighbors from her new community at Douglass Village. One of her favorite places to travel to was Batavia, NY, where she spent many happy days visiting special friends. Family always came first for Tina, and she was a cherished daughter, sister, and aunt, known for her interest and concern for everyone around her. She wanted to hear your news, good or bad, and to share good times with others. Every year, Tina remembered first-day-of-school wishes for her 5 nieces and nephews, and 9 great nieces and nephews. Christmas time Advent Calendars were special gifts she always gave to each one. Tina bravely battled breast cancer in 1999 and celebrated this win every day. After being diagnosed with lung cancer in 2023, she again fought this monster to the end. Her story is an inspiration to all. Tina is survived by brother Rich Devaney and wife Joyce of Gilbertsville, PA; sister Becky Goebeler and husband Tom of New Freedom, PA; and brother Todd Devaney and wife Brenda of Surfside Beach, SC; and nieces Susie Goebeler and Christina (Devaney) Nelson; nephews Tommy, Ricky, and Danny Goebeler; and her nine "greats," as she liked to call them.Toby, Ashley, Levi, Nittany, Henry, Effie, and Emilia Goebeler, and Theo and Nora Nelson. She was predeceased by sister Melanie Devaney (1969) and great nephew Cannon Goebeler (2009). Tina died on March 24, 2025. Her spirit and laughter will be missed by all who knew her.

I was fortunate enough to work with Tina at Brown Printing. When my son was little and she used to be the administrative assistant, she used to allow him to type on her typewriter. We had many fun nights out together. She was a good soul. RIP Tina....see you on the other side.

In the very short time I had the pleasure of knowing Tina( I cared for her in the hospital) I knew what a special person she was. My husband worked with her at New World, we were laughing at what a small world it is. Out deepest condolences to all who loved her
