Vanessa Campbell, 47, of Tunkhannock passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Scott Helaman Campbell.
Born on December 28, 1976 in Salt Lake City, UT, she is the daughter of Marian (Slack) Bridger and Richard Obray (deceased).
She was a 1994 graduate of Davis High school in Utah (Go Darts!). In addition, she graduated in 1997, from Ricks College in Idaho, where she met and fell in love with her husband, Scott. Vanessa was known for her enormous heart and her dedication to service. The commitment to those around her was driven by her love for her Savior, Jesus Christ, evident in everything she did. As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she shared that love with everyone she encountered, including friends and family.
She was a passionate crafter, often expressing her creativity in various projects. She enjoyed baking, photography, family history, and sharing those experiences as a blogger. Traveling was another passion of hers, as she cherished the opportunity to explore new places and create lasting memories with her loved ones.
Perhaps Vanessa's greatest accomplishment was being a loving mother. She found immense joy in raising her children and celebrating in their achievements, always encouraging them to pursue their dreams. Her motherly love was not limited to her immediate family but extended to all those around her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children; Madison Campbell, Elias Campbell, Emmalee Campbell; parents, Diane Obray, and Marian Bridger; in-laws Darius and Luralee Campbell; siblings, Stefanie Bohin, Steve Bohin (Tami), Christopher Obray (Shelby), David Obray (Davie), Kallie Robbins (Beth), Kira Balog, Katrina Obray, Tauni Fabrizio (Tim); numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
She is preceded in death by brother, John Obray; father, Richard Obray; paternal grandmother, Nelda Obray; Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
Family and friends are invited to attend Vanessa's funeral service which will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 505 Griffin Pond Road, Clarks Summit, PA 18411 with First Counselor, Wayne Smith, conducting.
A viewing will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 PM from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657 and on Saturday at the church from 2:00 PM until the time of service.
The family kindly requests that those attending wear yellow or bright colors, celebrating the colorful impact she had on all who knew her.
