Watson Marczak Obituary

Watson "Buck" Marczak, 80, passed away suddenly on March 24, 2025. Buck was born March 23, 1945 in Bridgeport, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (LoVerde), and his sister, Bernice, and is survived by his loving children, Kimberly Svede (Andrew), Joseph Marczak (Christina), and Stephanie Bruno (Ennio); his grandchildren, Stephanie, Andrew, Emily, and Ryan Svede, Joseph, Alexa, and Rachel Marczak, Ennio and Leo Bruno; his brother, Francis Marczak (Marie); and his beloved dog, Ellie. Buck grew up in Norristown, Pennsylvania, graduating from Bishop Kenrick High School in 1963. Following high school graduation, Buck proudly served in the U.S. Navy before returning home to marry his high school sweetheart Pat, and begin building their family. It was during that time that he found his true calling as a skilled carpenter and craftsman. His hands created beautiful homes and projects that will remain lasting symbols of his dedication to his craft. Those who have been fortunate to work alongside him know his work ethic, precision, and professionalism. While Buck was a master tradesman and impacted many lives through his work, anyone who crossed paths with him knew that his greatest joy was his family. He was an amazing father and grandfather who made every moment count and whose unwavering love and support was felt by all. Following the loss of his wife, Buck made sure that family traditions continued. Whether it be at home, on a sports field cheering on his grandchildren, at holidays, or during the annual family trip to the Outer Banks, Buck made sure that his family came first and that every time together was filled with laughter and cherished memories. During the past two years, Buck was blessed to meet Ann with whom he was able to share many special moments, from weekend walks in the park with Ellie to traveling to places like Australia and Italy. His family lovingly referred to these escapades as Adventures with Ann. While Buck will be deeply missed, his legacy and traditions will continue to live on in the stories he shared and the love that he gave to all who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to Buck's Life Celebration on Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Funeral Home, 200 W Germantown Pike, Norristown, PA 19401. My formative years were spent working at General Washington CC (Shannondell) with Bucky and Ernie Tedino. These two introduced me to some big ideas and awesome music. Ernie with his love of madras, folk music and MGTDs and elegant Bucky, the best looking lifeguard of the bunch. RIP Bucky you were that guy that every guy wished he could be.
