William Frank Obituary

William Frank, known to many as Billy, of Philadelphia, passed away on March 5th 2025 at the age of 70. Billy was longtime resident of the Merakey Philadelphia family since 1984. Spending most of his time over the years with his friends in Residential Service. Billy is survived by his caring sister-in-law Janet Dougherty, and many of his Merakey family and friends.
Billy will be remembered as a father figure to his roommates who often looked to him for guidance. He made sure their well being was being met in his own ways. He never liked to stay idle and was always on the move. Often participating in chores, setting and clearing tables before and after meals, and group time activities. He was a very friendly man and cherished social interactions. He was happiest being surround by friends and fellow members of Special Vacations Inc.; exploring many places like Puerto Rico, Florida, and Philadelphia Spring Training. He was able to build many friendships over the years with the staff members of Special Vacations. Billy loved the Old American West, often seeing himself as a modern-day Cowboy.
Relatives and friends are invited to Billy's Life Celebration visitation on Thursday March 20th from 10AM-11AM with a service to follow at 11AM; interment private.
