William E. Gruver, 61, of Fleetwood, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, PA.
Born June 12, 1963 in Allentown, Bill was the son of the William O. Gruver, Richlandtown, and his mom, Catherine M. (Shapitl) Gruver, who passed away twelve hours later on August 6, 2024.
Bill was the loving husband of his wife of 35 years, Patti F. (Reinert) Gruver. They were married on June 10, 1989 in Mertztown.
Bill worked for over 30 years for East Penn Manufacturing Company, Inc., Lyon Station, where he worked in the Industrial building. He attended Saucon Valley School District and then graduated from Brandywine Heights High School in 1981. Bill truly enjoyed vacationing, especially taking cruises, but most of all, cherished spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Patti, are his sister, Cheryl A. (Gruver) Sucec, Fleetwood, his brother, James A. Gruver, husband of Sue E. (Schlegel) Gruver, Center Valley, his nieces, Kelli M. Hamilton, wife of Thomas A. Hamilton, Morganton, North Carolina, and Amanda L. Weirback, wife of Beka J. Hoover, Jacksonville, North Carolina, and by his great nephews, Seth and Kellen.
Along with his mom, Bill was preceded in death by his son, Kyle J. Gruver, and by his sister, Cindy Weirback.
Services for Bill will be held privately by his family.
