William Miller Obituary

William H. Miller Jr, 79, of Stroudsburg, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Arden Court in Allentown, PA.He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judith A. Miller, with whom he shared 51 years of marriage. Born on December 4, 1945, in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of the late William and Jean Miller. Bill lived most of his life in Stroudsburg, PA and was a graduate of Stroudsburg High School and East Stroudsburg University. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. Dedicated to his community, William was a member of the Stroudsburg Volunteer Fire Department for more than 50 years and served for many years on the Stroudsburg Borough Zoning Hearing Board. He was also the owner and operator of Mountain Fuels in East Stroudsburg for three decades. William is survived by his two daughters: Kimberly Yarnall and her husband, Robert, of Fairfield Glade, TN, and Pamela Possinger and her husband, Richard, of Stroudsburg. He was the cherished grandfather of Jacob, Ashley, Hanna, Sara, Dillon, Brandon, and Alexandra, and the proud great-grandfather of Jameson and Harper. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Nancy Miller of Stroudsburg; sister-in-law, Susan Berry and her husband, Bruce, of Buck Hill Falls; and brother-in-law, Bruce Baustien of Stroudsburg; nieces Nicole, Lauren, Kristen, Molly and Emily and Nephew Chad. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Miller. There will be a viewing on Friday, September 26th from 5:00 to 7:00PM at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 27th at 10:00AM at the funeral home with fire company chaplain, Todd A. Martin officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Stroudsburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in William's honor to the Stroudsburg Volunteer Fire Department.
