Yeong Hong Obituary

Yeong P. Hong, 80, of Ambler, PA, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at St. Mary Center. He was the loving husband of Sang Hong. Born August 9, 1944, he was a son of the late Cheol D. Hong and Jeong S. (Ko) Hong. Yeong was a member of First Korean Presbyterian Church of Philadelphia. Throughout his life, he enjoyed spending time golfing and travelling to many new and exciting places. What brought Yeong the most joy in life was his family. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather that was outgoing, adventurous and always maintained a great sense of humor. In addition to his wife, Yeong is survived by his two daughters, Kyeong Leven, and husband Adam, and Jeanah Hong; his son David Hong, and wife Karim; his grandchildren Jonah, Samson, and Gabrielle; and his sister, Kyong Suk Gonzales. He is preceded in death by his sister, Yeong Suk Choi. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 1:00 PM at First Korean Presbyterian Church, 400 N Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, PA 19002. The family will receive guests 2:00 PM.
