Alexandra Isabel Fonseca

Alexandra Isabel Fonseca, 64, of Meriden, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones at Midstate Medical Center. Born on April 6, 1961, in Setubal, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Florinda (Cascais) Fonseca. Alexandra traveled to the United States in 1966 at the age of five, settling in Naugatuck. She built a life filled with love and connection. A true daughter of the sea, Alexandra grew up by the water. Her passion for the ocean endured throughout her life-she cherished days spent at the beach, basking in the sun, fishing, and boating. In Meriden, Alexandra met the love of her life, Antoni Otrocki, when he stopped for a beer at On The Green. Their chance encounter sparked a 20-year partnership filled with devotion and joy. Alexandra's warmth and vibrant spirit touched everyone she met, leaving a lasting impression. Alexandra is survived by her beloved partner, Antoni Otrocki; her three sisters, Maria (Carlos), Teresa, and Belmira (Carlos); her in-laws, Sandra and Michael; her nieces, Jeanette, Karla, Annie, Evelyn, and Marisa; her nephew, Joshua; and grandnephews, Henry, Oliver, Weston, and Charlie, all of whom adored her. Her infectious spirit and boundless love will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at St. Stanislaus Church, 82 Akron St., Meriden, CT 06450.
