Andrew J. Kobylarz

Andrew Jeffrey Kobylarz, 32, of Portland, CT passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on Monday, March 3, from complications of Cystic Fibrosis. He was born on April 13th 1992 in Hartford, CT. He graduated from Newington High School in Newington, CT, in 2010. He was employed by NAPA Auto Parts for the better part of the last decade, where he was well known and loved by many for his extensive knowledge of all things automobiles. He was a perfectionist when it came to his beloved Audi RS4, and proudly displayed his ever-changing customizations to it with the numerous car organizations that he belonged to. When he wasn't under the hood of his car, he also enjoyed building and target shooting his firearms and finding many different outlets for his expansive creativity. Despite facing an uphill battle with many chronic health issues, he was always one to crack a joke to lighten the mood and was ready with a mischievous half smile when he knew he succeeded in doing so. His kind and caring nature was well known to everyone, and demonstrated with his animals, which he loved and cared for deeply. He leaves behind his parents, Patti (Carlson) and Jeff Kobylarz of Portland, CT, his sister Katie and her husband Che and nephews Jeremiah, Ryan, and Conor Vigil, of Hebron CT, his life partner and best friend Meaghan Sacco of Wethersfield, CT, his Uncle Bob Carlson and his wife Lori of Berlin, CT, their daughter Sarah Carlson and her husband Dan McPherson of East Hampton, CT, his Aunt Melissa Carlson and husband Matt Kaliner of Somerville, MA, as well as numerous extended family members. The family would like to thank the first responders of Portland Volunteer Fire Department, Middlesex Paramedics and EMS services, for their heroic efforts. They would also like to extend their sincere gratitude to his entire medical team, especially Dr. Post and the staff of DaVita Dialysis in Middletown, CT.
