Arthur Francis Jordan

Arthur Francis Jordan, "Cuzzy", 96 years old of New Britain, CT. passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025. He was born on January 4, 1929 in New York City to Arthur F. Jordan and Hazel (Lewis) Jordan. Arthur was a beloved cousin and godfather known for his unwavering kindness and dedication to his family.
He graduated from Power Memorial Academy High School in New York City in 1947 and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps serving from 1947 -1951.
He worked at Stanley Tools in New Britain, CT. for 45 years before retiring in 1996 at the age of 67. Arthur enjoyed reading and had an incredible historical and geographical knowledge of the world as he traveled abroad regularly throughout his lifetime. He was also an active member of St Francis of Assisi Church in New Britain, CT. His family remember him as a kind, gentle and patient person who always supported and encouraged them to pursue their dreams.
Arthur is survived by his god children and cousins Diane (Sytulek) Kane and her husband John Kane and their daughter Emily Kane; Kathryn (Sytulek) Horlitz and her husband Carl J. Horlitz and their daughter Julia Horlitz and step children Jeremy Vitelli, Kaitlyn Vitelli, and Carl M. Horlitz; David Sytulek and his girlfriend Anita Melhorn; Scott Sytulek and his two sons Jacob and Jeffrey Sytulek; and friends Chuck Dobson and Peter Varhol.
Arthur was predeceased in death by his first cousin Osena (Kowalsky) Sytulek and her husband Stanley J. Sytulek; first cousin Linford Lewis; aunt Viola (Lewis) Kowalsky and her husband Joseph Kowalsky; and his parents Arthur F. Jordan Sr. and Hazel (Lewis) Jordan.
A visitation hour is scheduled for Wednesday December 10, 2025 from 9:00-10:00 am at Shaker-Hill Funeral Home on 764 Farmington Ave, New Britain, CT. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at Saint Francis of Assisi Church on 1755 Stanley St, New Britain, CT.
Burial will conclude at Saint Mary's Cemetery 1141 Stanley St, New Britain, CT.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Arthur's name to Saint Francis of Assisi Church on 1755 Stanley St, New Britain, CT.
